Students in 10 had the opportunity to attend the Tanken centre in Kirrawee as part of their Japanese language study at the end of Term 1. The students created videos about the Japanese centre which you can see below. We are looking forward to more immersion opportunities as students develop their communication.

Year 8 students learnt to make one of Japanese cuisine’s favourite snack foods: onigiri at the end of Term 1. Onigiri are balls of rice usually wrapped with nori seaweed and containing a meat or vegetable filling. Students had fun creating their snacks and enjoying them together.
