Stage 4 and 5

A big congratulations to students in Year 7 and 9 on completing NAPLAN last week!

Year 7 are busy preparing to undertake their second exam this year in Week 6 on the topics of percentages and fractions. It is important that all students remember to bring their own calculator and equipment in preparation for this test.

Stage 6

As assessment week approaches, students in Year 11 will be starting their Investigation Assignment for Task 2. It is important that they get an early start on this and check with their classroom teacher if they are unsure of the instructions.

A general reminder to all students who are interested in undertaking the Australian Mathematics Competition, make sure you are listening during the morning announcements for an upcoming registration date TBA.

Mangahigh.com usernames and passwords are now available from classroom teachers. This is an additional classroom resource that students can use to revise and consolidate their understanding of material covered in class. Students can log in and choose their activities or complete assignments set by their teacher.

If students are absent on the day of an assessment task, it is important that they follow the instructions as set out on the Task Notification on or before the assessment date..

All of us in the Mathematics Faculty look forward to meeting parents in the coming weeks during parent teacher interviews.
