It has been a very eventful start to Term 2 for the HSC class of 2021!

Year 12 had an awesome time during their ‘Half-Time Day’ – a day dedicated to reflecting on their current HSC experience. They spent their time reflecting on their academic progress and learnt a lot about different ways to manage stress during the HSC. There were also plenty of fun activities throughout the day with wheel-barrow races, the YMCA, choreographed dances, and to finish off, a BBQ in the senior quad! The day was a huge success.

The festivities continued during the annual PHHS athletics carnival at Sylvania Waters. The cohort opted for comfort and style when they decided their theme would be ‘Pyjama Party’ … but we suspected this was a brilliant ploy to avoid having to get changed in sports gear in the morning. Despite racing the 100m in their pyjamas, throwing a discuss with their pillows in hand, and completing the triple jump in their bathrobes, the cohort had a fantastic time.

Finally, there is no event more iconic on the PHHS calendar than Colour Day.  Year 12 were front and centre (literally) of the performances, with our seniors going above and beyond to ensure their final colour day was a hit. With hundreds of Santas dashing in the quad, dancing mermaids and floating umbrella squids, it was definitely a colour day to remember!
