Two Year 10 students, Seveene Patakos and Henry Lewis, represented NSW at the National Baseball Tournament in Lismore last week.

It all started with both Seveene and Henry playing for the Cronulla Sutherland Junior Baseball Association at the NSW State Cup out at Blacktown in the school holidays. The team finished 2nd overall in NSW, winning them the opportunity to go to the National Championships for a 5 day tournament in Lismore, where the top teams from each state play against each other to see who is the best of the best in Australia.

They were able to win 2 games out of 3, which sent them to the quarter finals. They almost made the grand final right up to the 6th innings, but unfortunately went down to an in-form Macarthur team.

Playing the Bronze Medal game, Seveene and Henry’s team went down swinging and finished 4th overall in Australia.

Congratulations to both Seveene and Henry! An awesome achievement!
