Exciting Opportunities for Year 10 PASS
Last week our Year 10 PASS students started a 5 lesson course in fencing. Local Italian international coach Adriano Albano came to the school and is teaching our students to fence. All the electronic scoring equipment and protective clothing and a link to the newly established club in Miranda provide our students with an excellent opportunity should they wish to take the sport further.
Brainstorm Cyberia production
The Year 10 cohort watched Brainstorm productions play titled ‘Cyberia’. The production was very engaging and covered the relevant issues of cyber safety, misuse and abuse. The production lasted an hour and multiple roles were played by just 2 actors. As the Year Adviser, I am pleased to compliment the grade on their intuitive questions at the end and their positive behaviour during the performance.
A big thank you to Mrs Martin in careers for the extensive work experience program enjoyed by Year 10 during Weeks 2 and 3 this term. Students experienced a range of occupations from real estate to electrician, and inspiration was developed to create career pathways.
University pathways will be explored with the Careers Expo at Moore Park on June 4th.
