Busy launching new programs within the school, the SRC was excited to announce recent developments in our Lung Cancer initiative.

On Tuesday 25th August, the SRC hosted a Lung Cancer initiative in memory of our Teacher Librarian Mrs Riordan, who passed earlier this year due to Lung Cancer. To honour Mrs Riordan and her dedication to the #ihavelungs campaign, students and staff were encouraged to wear silly or green accessories. This included silly socks, hair-clips, armbands and green accessories. We also encouraged students to bring in a gold coin donation to support the de-stigmatisation of Lung Cancer, and assist the foundation in providing the very best treatment, information, support and care to patients in need.

In addition, the school will also dedicate a mural to Mrs Riordan, as her unmatched hard work, support, passion and love is what made the Port Hacking Spirit so strong. She has left a void within the hearts of all students and faculties, and we miss her greatly.
