Special Education News
SE1 had a fun time making some wrapping paper using potato stamps and bubble wrap in an underwater theme. The students liked mixing the colours and choosing their stamps and materials for making the prints. SE1 said they enjoyed the activity even if they got messy hands!!
Students also celebrated the end of their “Sailability” program this semester with a sausage sizzle at Cronulla Sailing Club, attended by all the wonderful volunteers that make magic happen for students from PHHS and their friends at Endeavour Sports High School, twice a month at Gunnamatta Bay.
SE2 enjoyed a fun Community Access trip on the school bus to Green Hills, Cronulla and ate lunch together in the mall.
Overall, it has been an extremely fun term and many new friendships have been forged. Students are particularly loving playing Minecraft and Uno at recess and lunch. They work hard for Friday rewards and are learning to work as a team.
I wish everyone a restful and rewarding holiday – you have earned it!
Don’t forget school goes back on Monday 12th July, and it is a pupil free day on Friday 16th July. Assisted School Travel have been notified of the school day change.
Stay warm 🙂
