This term, as part of their technology elective, students in Special Education 4 have been engaged in learning about coding using Tynker.

Students created their very own 2-player game using the Tynker physics engine, which simulates gravity so that a projectile will move in an arc, just like it would in real life! The goal of the game was to use the cannon Actors to launch projectiles at given objects and knock them off the platform.

Students were also introduced to JavaScript through different puzzle modules. They have been gaining a stronger mastery of JavaScript syntax, to become better prepared for computer science courses, and bridge the gap between block-based coding and text-based coding.
