On Monday (27 July), students participated in three online workshops which provided them with information to assist them to make decisions regarding their subject choices for next year.

A number of digital resources were created for Year 10 students, which they and their parents can access through CANVAS and can be found in the Year 10 Careers course. These resources include: a quick overview of each subject; the red subject selection book (which was also offered to students in hard copy); short videos from subject teachers explaining each of the courses, and; careers information.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are unable to hold our traditional subject selection evening for students and their parents. However, each Year 10 student is meeting one-on-one with a teacher mentor to discuss their subject selection choices. During this session, a student’s subject choices and career path will be discussed.

If additional advice is needed, students may also be directed to talk to the Careers Adviser or subject teachers to further their understanding of their options. After this meeting, if you or your child still have questions regarding subject selection, please don’t hesitate to contact the school.

Year 10 need to choose their subjects for Year 11 2021 online by 9am Monday 10 August. All students have been emailed instructions about how to make their selections.
